The October 2026 issue of Medford Living Magazine is in mailboxes around town, and this month's resident feature is a little close to home for us. Our founder, Rauf Tur, and his daughter Josie are on pages 10 through 16 in "Rauf & Josie Tur: Curiosity, Creativity, and Connection," written by Kerry Brown with photography by Karlee Calamito of Karlee Marie Photography.
You can read the full feature and download the pages on our press page.
What the feature is about
Most of the story is about family life in Medford: building with Legos at the kitchen table, cooking together, Fort Medford and Freedom Park, and Lincoln, the family's Chihuahua-dachshund mix who howls along to exactly one ice-cream truck. It is a warm piece, and we would rather you read it in the magazine's own words than ours.
The thread running through it is curiosity. As Rauf puts it in the article:
"In my work, I search for solutions to problems that other people haven't thought about yet."
Why Medford
Rauf moved to Medford in 2017. In the feature he describes being drawn by the woods, the lakes and the small-town feel, with everything you need close by, and by local traditions like Canoe Carnival where families take part.
"Medford just felt like a really unique place to live."
That is also why iOLab is here. We work with Medford and South Jersey businesses face to face, and we care about this town's main street doing well.
What iOLab does for local businesses
Page 15 of the issue, "Professional Problem-Solver," describes our work the way we would want it described: instead of a small business bending itself around a generic tool, we build software that works the way that business already works. That usually means a custom CRM or a client-facing app, and more and more often it means putting AI automation to work on the repetitive parts of the day, in practical ways a small team can actually use.
If you have ever paid monthly for software that never quite fit, that is the problem we like solving.
The apps in the story
The article also mentions the three web apps Rauf has launched, all live today:
- myNido: an AI home app for room planning, shopping lists, budgets and moves.
- MeezEnPlace: an AI recipe and cooking app that imports recipes, builds shopping lists and walks you through each step.
- Tappd: coaster advertising for local businesses at neighborhood bars and restaurants, with a direct connection to the Medford community.
Each one started the same way our client projects do: a real problem, a small first version, and a lot of listening.
Thank you
