Case Study · Curated Networking PlatformNetworking that comes to your inbox — curated, not crowded.
Maven is a vetted South Jersey networking community where every connection is a hand-curated 1:1 introduction. We built the whole platform — member site, matching engine, and admin curation portal.

Traditional networking is a numbers game most people lose
The usual model is brute force: pay the dues, show up to the breakfast, work the room, and hope you bump into someone worth knowing. It rewards whoever has the most free evenings — not whoever is the best fit.
Maven's founder, Allison, had built something better by hand: she knewher members, and she made deliberate, one-to-one introductions that actually landed. The bottleneck was that it all lived in her head and her calendar. It couldn't scale, and it couldn't run without her doing every step manually.
So we built Maven: a platform that captures who each member is and who they want to meet, gives Allison a curation dashboard to compose and approve matches, and delivers each warm introduction straight to the inbox — the judgment kept human, the busywork removed.
Six modules behind every introduction
From application to inbox — the system that lets one curator run a vetted community without losing the personal touch that makes it work.

A vetted application, not an open sign-up
Membership starts with a structured application that captures who a member is, what they do, and who they want to meet — so every introduction begins from real signal instead of a business-card scan.
- Personal, business & networking-goals capture
- Founder reviews and approves each applicant
- Feeds straight into the matching engine

Hand-curated 1:1 matches, ready to meet
The core of Maven. Members see the introductions curated for them and book a meeting in one click — the founder's matchmaking judgment, systematized into a repeatable flow instead of living on a calendar.
- Active matches surfaced per member
- One-click meeting scheduling
- Every intro carries real business context

Profiles rich enough to match on
Each member keeps a profile spanning personal info, their business, and their goals — the structured data that powers great matches and gives every introduction genuine context before the first hello.
- Personal / business / goals tabs
- Logo, photo & contact details
- Membership tier and billing in one place

Every lifecycle moment, automated
A full library of branded, automated emails — onboarding, new matches, meeting reminders, payments — delivers each warm introduction and keeps members moving without manual sending. The SMS & Voice add-on extends the same intros to text and call.
- 41+ branded transactional templates
- Onboarding, matches, meetings & payments
- Optional SMS & Voice add-on

The founder's command center
Allison runs the whole community from one admin portal: pending approvals, the full member roster, matches, support tickets, and settings — the back-office that lets one curator scale a vetted network.
- Pending approvals & member roster at a glance
- Compose and manage every match
- Member support tickets built in

Recurring membership, handled
Stripe-powered membership billing is wired in so dues collect themselves — the monthly membership that funds the community runs on autopilot, fully inside the platform.
- Stripe subscription billing
- Self-serve member billing status
- No third-party membership tool
A member site that sells the community
The brand-led marketing site — homepage, the How-It-Works story, and county-level landing pages — all built and styled to match.

The platform encodes a founder's judgment — it doesn't replace it
Maven only works because a real person decides who should meet whom. Allison stays the curator; the software just gives her leverage — a clean view of every member, the context to make a great match, and a one-click way to send a polished introduction.
That's the whole thesis of how we build: software that amplifies the owner's instinct instead of flattening it into a generic directory. The result is a community that scales without feeling automated.
Fewer rooms. Better introductions.
A curated community is only as scalable as the tools behind the curator. Maven gives one founder the reach of a team — vetted members, a matching dashboard, and warm intros delivered automatically — while keeping the human judgment that makes the introductions worth getting.
Run a community, association, or membership?
If your value is in the connections you make, you shouldn't be running them from a spreadsheet. Let's build the platform that scales your curation.
